iLanga E-Waste Management Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the services of iLanga E-Waste Management, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Items Not Accepted

iLanga E-Waste Management does not accept household batteries, FLCs, radioactive equipment, or toners unless pre-arranged, and additional costs may apply.

3. Additional Charges for Specific Services

Certain services, such as moving furniture or removing other types of waste, may incur additional costs. Customers will be informed in advance to avoid misunderstandings.

4. Collection Area Instructions

Customers are required to place goods in a designated collection area for easy pick-up, ensuring an efficient process.

5. Charges for Delays

In the event of delays not directly attributable to the collection vehicle, a standing time fee of R500 per hour or part thereof will be charged after 30 minutes.

6. Notification of Changes

Any changes to collection details must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled collection date via telephone.

7. Third-Party Decisions

iLanga E-Waste Management cannot be held liable for third-party decisions regarding the units collected and recycled/destroyed.

8. Certificate Request Timing

Certificates requested will be sent seven days from the date the units arrive at our premises to the contact person as stated on the form.

9. Liability for Property Damage

iLanga E-Waste Management will not be held liable for any damages to floors, walls, doors, roofs, ceilings, or any part of the property caused during the collection of electronic waste.

10. Mandatory Fields

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) in the Book a Collection section must be completed to facilitate efficient processing.

11. Declaration Regarding Stolen Goods

The undersigned declares that, as far as they are aware, the goods collected by iLanga E-Waste Management are/were not stolen. In the event of stolen goods, details will be made available to the SAPS for further investigation, and the undersigned will bear all costs or damages suffered by iLanga E-Waste Management.

12. Compliance with South African Laws

iLanga E-Waste Management adheres to all applicable South African environmental laws and regulations governing the disposal and recycling of electronic waste.

13. Waste Management License

iLanga E-Waste Management holds a valid waste management license issued by the relevant South African authorities.

14. Data Security and Privacy

Clients are responsible for removing sensitive data from electronic devices. iLanga E-Waste Management will take reasonable measures to ensure data security during the collection and recycling process.

15. Environmentally Responsible Disposal

iLanga E-Waste Management commits to environmentally responsible disposal practices in compliance with South African waste management guidelines.

16. Documentation for Regulatory Compliance

Clients will be provided with documentation, such as waste disposal certificates, demonstrating compliance with South African regulations.

17. Reporting to Regulatory Authorities

iLanga E-Waste Management agrees to fulfil any reporting requirements to relevant South African regulatory authorities concerning the quantity and type of electronic waste collected and recycled.

18. Indemnification for Regulatory Violations

Clients agree to indemnify iLanga E-Waste Management in the event of any regulatory violations arising from the client’s failure to adhere to South African laws regarding electronic waste disposal.
